VICTORIA FALLS |
Theultimate stop-over in Africa and also a World Heritage Site as one of the sevenl wonders of the world, Victoria Falls. The Falls are a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, flowing at just under 33 million cubic metres per second at peak during April, are also the largest curtain of falling water in the world or on earth at 2.5km (1.5 miles) wide, over 500 million liters of water plunging at 100m (330ft) into a narrow chasm every minute and the spray can be seen 30km (20 miles) away. The Falls are in the resort town of Victoria Falls, a vibrant area with a lot of adventurers and the best hotels in Africa. |

CHINHOYI CAVES |
The Chinhoyi Caves are situated in the city of Chinhoyi, although they are about 7 km north of city. The caves are a group of different caves which are a limestone shaft linked by a maze of passages and caves. There is also a popular magnificent natural wonder at the foot of the caves and it is the huge and deep pool that is filled with pure clean water from natural sources and springs. The main activity at the pool is water diving and many other interesting adventures to explore. |

MANA POOLS |
Mana Pools are the second World Heritage Site in Zimbabwe and they are situated on the southern bank of the Zambezi River. In the dry season from May to mid-October, Mana's floodplain will suddenly become an animal paradise as a profusion of game will be found in the area. The Mana also boast of an excellent walking safari adventure for those wanting to go on a walking safari epedition. with the Zambezi River providing great canoe safaris. Matusadona Park is located on the shores of Lake Kariba. This area has great walking safari trails backed up by fine lodges and camps. It is estimated that this park now holds the highest population density of lions in the African continent and also the park is one of the last wild sanctuaries of the endangered Black Rhino. |

GREAT ZIMBABWE |
Great Zimbabwe National Monument situated in the Masvingo town, is the largest structure of ruins in Africa south of the pyramids in Egypt. The ruins that survive are built entirely of stone with no mortar to keep the boulder stones intact. The Main Enclosure, or Temple, has walls over 9m (30ft) tall, 4m (14ft) thick and over 228m (250 yards) in circumference, giving approximately 485,521 cubic meters (635,000 cubic ft) of hand-trimmed mortarless stonework. It is believed the this monument was build between 13th and 15th centuries with main activities being trading in gold and other artifacts that formed part of a trade network extending as far as China as Chinese pottery shards, coins from Arabia, glass beads and other non-local items have been excavated at Zimbabwe. Lake Kyle National Park is not far away from this historical monument that has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. Nearby Lake Kyle there is a great campsite close to the lake with many other adventurous activities. |

MATOBOS |
The Motobo Hills are situated in Bulawayo, the second largest city of Zimbabwe. The place is well known for its impressive rock art paintings and the vast tracks of spectacular granite rock formations. This area covers an area of over 1500 square kilometres and is abudant in the history and legends of Shona dynasties, Ndebele armies, British colonists and the many wars that they fought. Other attractions of this place is the grave of Cecil John Rhodes, caves and the Black Eagles that are said to be in their largest numbers in the Matobos Hills compared to any other place were they are found in the world. Matobo National Park is also the best place in the world to see white rhino. |

LAKE KARIBA |
In Kariba there is the Lake Kariba, a lake that has great water adventurers to explore. Lake Kariba is situated in the northwest of the country on the covering 7770 sq km (3000 sq miles) and holding millions gallons of water.The lake supplies water to the second largest manmade dam in the world which is Kariba dam. EASTERN HIGHLANDS |
If you are in Zimbabwe, this north-eastern part of Zimbabwe is well known for its wonderful mountainous and legend-filled landscape, birdlife, botanical attractions, trout fishing and excellent hiking and walking trails. You can also climb Mount Inyangani, the country’s highest peak offering panoramic views across northern Zimbabwe. There is also the Nyanga National Park which is situated in the mountain range of this eastern part of Zimbabwe. The park is an area of high grasslands, evergreen forests, waterfalls, cliffs and lakeside cottages with trout fishing as a very popular adventure to take. Visitors can also climb Mount Inyangani, the country’s highest peak offering panoramic views across northern Zimbabwe. CULTURE |
Zimbabwe has a multi culture with over 10 languages in the country although the main spoken languages are Shona, Ndebele and English. There is also a huge percentage of artists in Zimbabwe with many in traditional arts, such as pottery, basketry, textiles, jewellery and carving. The artists produce brilliant art products and Zimbabwe has a lot of the best sculptors in the world. Zimbabwe has a large variety of traditional dances with some perfoming at special occassions and other cultural events. |

Zimbabwe has a great wildlife population from the forested mountains of the Eastern highlands to the sun-washed grasslands of Hwange National Park, covering over 11 per cent of Zimbabwe’s land. A total of over 44,000 sq km (17,000 sq miles) has been set aside for parks and wildlife estates and there are over 8 national parks and 8 recreational parks around the country with a variety of large and small animals. There are also several botanical gardens, sanctuaries and 14 national safari areas for controlled hunting during the hunting seasons. |

The people of Zimbabwe are very friendly, helpful and peaceful. Zimbabweans are well educated with the literacy rate at over 90% which is the highest in Africa. Zimbabweans are hard working, respect each other and love their culture, food and country. |

CLIMATE |
Zimbabwe is hot during summer usually from August to October. Rainfall starts mid October to mid April and then there is winter from May to July. During these periods the weather can be mixed with temperatures at the lowest of around 10 degrees and highest of 39 degrees depending with the region of the country but generally the country is warm and sunny. |
